As an Owner/Operator of a number of businesses, concurrently, over the last 20 plus years, I believe that I have experienced most elements of business management, coupled with success and failure as well, along the way. This enables me to bring my skills and experiences to the fore, and help other business owners in virtually all aspects of applying business management tools, business planning and implementation. So not a consultant who will leave you with a report, but one that will sit alongside you for the journey covering all elements.
I started my career as a commercial banker and became adept at understanding 'how business worked', and through other people's businesses I realised what was needed to manage a business (learnt from both good and bad operators, and the journeys they endured). But until I ran my own business, I really did not know how to implement good business practice. The last 20 plus years has been a huge business learning journey for both my wife and I, and it is our time to give back and support other businesses owners by sharing what we have learnt.
In reality most business owners experience the same journey, whether success or otherwise. What they also experience is the loneliness of making decisions on their own and struggle to be confident enough to implement what they believe is the best thing for the business. I will help you work through the decision making and implementating process.

As a practical, hands-on, organised person I have harnessed over 20 plus years of office support and financial administration into becoming a qualified BAS Agent and Business Support implementor. My early years were with a large Corporate but the last 20 plus have been in our own businesses and supporting other businesses.
My experience can best be described as helping Small to Medium business owners, accounting firms, with everything that is systems, procedural, and office management related. I have been supporting business with $100K plus turnover to $30M in various and sometimes specific tasks. I have managed Payroll for up to 50 staff and implemented systems from conception to application.
My target client is:
- an Accounting Firm that is looking to insource or outsource bookkeeping
- businesses that have a regular monthly bookkeeping requirement
- or businesses that seek a flexible and outcourced business support function
My prefernce is to align to Accounting Firms and Businesses in the South East and Mornington Peninsula region (although not restricted currently)

Management consulting is the practice of helping organisations to improve their performance by offering external and objective advice and access to specialised expertise.
Management Consulting to us has an additional elelment which is helping the person who is responsible for the business strategy and operational excellence, and guiding them through the journey to create 'Best Practice'. This means live the experience with them and be responsible for the decision making process. Help take the emotion out of the room, but still be empathetic and patient as that individual comes to terms with the changes required.
We consult by being leaders ousrelves and taking on responsibility for the ouctomes.

Having spent many years guiding individuals in understanding how to manage their careers (ran a recruitment business for over 20 years), and many more of recent times guiding business owners through both establishment and exit strategies, our experience is about helping owners and leaders plan and execute their objectives. The hardest part is helping owners come to understand what they want first and foremost, and then how to marry that up with their business needs. "Everyone should have a business plan for themselves and then they can understand the value and benefit of a plan for their business".
The most common statement that my clients make is that " you have been through this yourself and so you know what it is like".

As a business owner, your business usually reflects what you enjoy and what you’re good at. Unless you are a financial services business, then bookkeeping is something you probably would prefer not to have to do, and takes time that would be more productively spent on your speciality.

Having solid experience on most major accounting software packages (MYOB, Xero, Reckon Accounts, Quickbooks) we can get up to speed quickly and efficiently. We are happy to assist on an on-going basis.  We have the tools to work remotely, but also the flexibility to come to you if that suits you better.
